John Brackney

Metro Energy Founder

John Brackney is the Director of Public Policy and Community Engagement at Webolutions, The Strategic Marketing Agency and one of the founders of Metro Energy. He has 30 years of Public Policy, Relationship Building and Community Engagement experience.  John is a former two term Arapahoe County Commissioner, where he was selected as Freshman Commissioner of the Year from his colleagues across the state and former CEO of the South Metro Denver Chamber serving for a decade.  John enlisted for the Persian Gulf War.  He spent 12 years overall in the Colorado Army National Guard last serving as a Captain and Company Commander.  He is a founder of the City of Centennial and the Rocky Mountain Clean Tech Open.  Currently, John serves on 7 educational, business, nonprofit and community Boards.  John received his law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and a B.A. Political Science from the University of Northern Colorado.  John has traveled to 22 countries mostly for business, government and military activities.  John and his wife of 28 years, Meredith, have two adult daughters.
